Our rescue puppy, Sid (8m Greyhound) is aggressive towards our 2yr Lab

Grass-eating should be allowed. This time of year it may be because the grass is extra delicious with the new shoots, but it can also be medicinal. If you haven't yet started a worming regime, it's a good time to, as he probably hasn't been wormed according to best practice before you took him...

Sid's Journey: From Struggles to Snuggles

Sid is definitely a saluki greyhound cross, and so with a sighthound mindset but not as laid-back as a full greyhound. I suspect the tales you have been told about his past are just that - tales - so don't set a lot of store by them. What is important is that now he is with YOU - what a lucky...

Our rescue puppy, Sid (8m Greyhound) is aggressive towards our 2yr Lab

Yes - you have an adolescent dog of a very different breed type, and he doesn't yet know which way is up. Stay calm. Feed them separately, even treats, so one doesn't see the other as competition. You don't know if Sid has had to fight other dogs for his food/toys/bed/attention. Apart from...

What are some effective tips for keeping my dog's coat shiny and healthy?

A SMALL amount of butter added to his food should give a shine as well. Too much might upset his bowels, and how much is too much differs from dog to dog - hence starting with a small amount!

X rays can be interpreted differently even by professionals. Not being a vet. myself, I'd rather see the dog in real life moving and turning, plus gentle passive movement of the limbs within their natural range as performed by judges of working dogs.

And from me. Looking forward to hearing about your pup.

    I'm back...

I beg to differ on the exercise requirements (I'd put in a laughing emoji here if I could) - I've had several, and they would happily go out for as long as we wanted. No spaniel in mine! Deerhound crosses are mostly lovely, depending on what the rest of the mix involved - mine had differing...

    The Dog Cafe

I hope your partner has a speedy recovery. What a painful injury. Problem with any form of test for dog ownership - great idea buttttt - is whatever body would conduct it (I bet the RSPCA would push themselves forward as the ideal choice) is unlikely to have the required knowledge. Everyone...

Give your opinion on a new app for dog owners!

Not for me either. I keep a diary for important dates, and I prefer to avoid random strangers with dogs that might be unruly. There is a safety concern for humans here too - I doubt you have envisaged safeguarding, but unfortunately some people would see this as a criminal opportunity.

    Puppy diarrhea

Your worming schedule is just right, so that's one cause to eliminate. Well done for being so conscientious. I hope you find a suitable food for his tum very soon.
