It’s the River Wye. It IS low at the moment - haven’t seen any canoes 🛶 on it for the past few days but it is beautiful. I don’t take it for granted - we’re very lucky. Although our hearts went out to others we did enjoy lockdown.
We were up and out down by the river at 07.00 this morning meeting other dog walkers. Lovely and cool and Mabel was in her element flirting with her boy whippet friend (the hussey). Followed this with a bacon sandwich (sorry, judyN) and a latte at the Riverside Café terrace.
Welcome. Cats are wonderful. We’ve always had cats and it was a huge bonus to find a whippet puppy many years ago which, after God knows how many searches, we were able to adopt. Since then we’re fanatical sight hound lovers. We’ve taken on three rescued whippets in total - two have gone to that...
Yes, the Scissor Sisters are fun - terrific entertainers. There’s something in the back of my mind re Graeme Garden’s son being part of their set up. Am I mistaken? Yours, Confused of South Herefordshire.

I do the same at an ungodly early hour. It’s quite cool by the river here but Mabel’s taking it slowly - she’s now nine. I’ve picked an unfortunate time for a complete ensuite overhaul - noise and dust.
Absolutely knocked out by Pulp - thought that Jarvis just mastered the set wonderfully, superb numbers. My daughter and son in law went to their gig a few weeks ago, lucky things. We saw Rod Stewart’s set on iPlayer - what amazing accompanists and everyone so happy. I’m getting old - I saw Jeff...
There’s nothing of finesse re my using the iPhone for photography. The slo-mo feature is amazing. I use it for waves and seagulls accompanying the boat back to St Mawes. If you have the feature give it a whirl. I’d show you my results here but I don’t know how.
Good for you, JoanneF. Please let us know the eventual outcome. I’ve only come across one instance of a cat bringing down a bat. Because of the fauna in the woodland behind us George (our rescued cat) has a bell on his collar.
