What a brilliant start to our race season. A good turn out of 27 and 7 lurcher's racing in lovely sunshine. The track looked good after it's winter rest. Nice to see some new faces trialing pups, all looks good for the future. Just as well we started trials at 5 o'clock as there were loades of them. The handicap was split into 2 classes heats 150 2ft/lb - finals 160 yds/lb

We would just like to mention dogs that did the club proud at bend champs. A huge congratulations to Gordon, Marlene and Evie (Evolution) on gaining sup r.ch. After being off the track most of the winter with an injury, she came into the champs as fresh as a daisy and it payed off, she ran brilliant, well done Evie. The same goes for Lee's little 18 pounder Jody (Spot Black) winning her class in the vet's and gaining r-up in the supreme run off only just getting caught on the line. Well done Jody. Also it goes without saying well done Mick, Gloria and Classic Rock taking r-up in the sup dog run off. Run Once More 16lb r.ch. Lou's Pride 32lb r-up and Ruby Murray 36lb vet r.ch a very big well done to you all

what a great night and brill turn out the track being tip top well done all the winners with some good close

Great turnout, thought we would lose the light (w00t) Looking forward to next week

was a great first night for club with a amazing turnout of dogs, the track looked brill thanks to the work Les and Linda have done over the winter break  and great weather as well what more could you ask for

Plenty of trials before racing although we had a heavy shower it did'nt seem to dampen anyones enthusiasm. Nice to see Andrew Parr back in racing with his daughter Natalie, they have a nice scr pup, Andy (HellboundxCute as you) in partnership with his brother Geoff. The rain had stopped when we started racing and we saw some good races over 150 1/2yds lbs & yds/lbs. Anyone coming to our open on Sunday, remember to bring your wellies as the field is quite soft in places. Refreshments available but sorry it's not b.b.q. weather.

In pouring rain there were 7 mad people wanting to run their dogs, (me being one of them) and loades of madder one's trialing. Having had a day or two of sunshine the track has been drying out nicely so we decided to put a meeting on after missing 3 weeks due to the track being flooded, at one point we had 72 hours of continuous rain. Just as we started trialing at 5 o'clock the heavens opened and it never stopped all night. We managed to get finished without churning the track up to much. As a back-up Les and l have been looking around at other venue's but as yet haven't found anything suitable, think we will find it hard get somewhere with the facilities and location we have now but will keep looking. We have been scanning the calendar to see if we can put some club meeting on Sunday's but there to much on locally so when Wednesday evenings finish we will carry on club racing on Sunday's into November to make up for meetings we have missed. Our 2nd additional open will be mid week, pre entry and a b.b.q the date will be posted on k9

Only one handicap race over 155 yds/lbs (what a suprise nobody wanted 2 runs!) winner was Gill's Mon Ami £8 in a close race with Dare Ya Too from Point Taken and Oso Classic. Scr winner Jim & John's Sky's Lad £6 from Stop the Clock and Stevie B. There were some new face's trialing pups, did'nt get a chance to have a chat with anyone as it was such horrible weather, hope to see you all next week. Regards Lynda

What a difference a week makes. Last Wed we all got a right old soaking, this week it was a lovely bright and sunny evening. The track looked and ran brilliant to say it was under water twice 3 weeks ago. Loads of newcomer's trialing pups and a couple of nice looking pedi pups that are keen to have a chase. Geoff, Natalie and Andrew's scr pup looked impressive in his 2 trials with Colin, 1 win each, the decider is next week! Brian's Sam had an handslip and Levi a full distance out the traps, both went well. Ian's 2 and Toby had solo's, looking good. Elise, as usual keeps her trialist under wraps we never know who's who but she seemed pleased with them all. Andy gave Twisted Tip a solo ready for Sunday. Lots of lurcher's had trials, Jenna's lovely parti coloured pup Scoot enjoyed a full distance and looks to be improving on every trial. Onto racing

What lovely bbq weather today for our Sunday meeting and a slight breeze blowing so it was'nt to hot for the dogs, throw in some good competitive racing and you could say it was a very pleasant and relaxing day, although Les might disagree with the relaxing bit! thanks to his helper Julie, you both did a bril job on the bbq, Geoff on the traps, Paul and Chris lure driver's, Yvonne and Lee having a tough job judging some very close finals, thanks everyone.
