I had to have about 6 of my elderly dogs teeth extracted a few month ago they were rotten. He is not fed a bad diet no tid bits good quality dog food. Had him back to vets due to fouled breath now they have said the rest are rotten and will have to come out. It was bad enough putting him through the first operation but to do it all again in just a few months. He will have no teeth left at all. What are people's thoughts on this. They do need to come out however he's age 10.

Unless he is a very large dog, 10 isn't old. Your vet will advise but he should be able to lap wet food.

The Yorkie we had when I was a child ended up toothless but she was able to crunch up dog biscuits with no problem at all. Do speak to your vet about helping him get over the op and back onto normal food though.

He had the op a few months ago and he has to go through it again that's why I have posted.
