When I got Betty she came with a soft squeaky bunny she loves soft toys she likes to sleep with one they're the only thing she doesn't chew to pieces ..but I'm now wondering is it a good thing to get her into because my biggest fear is what if I'm out walking her and a child drops their favourite dolly would she go to pick it up I know I could pull her away from it but I prefer she didn't do it in the first place ?

My dog is pretty clear over ownership but the easiest way to know is to test it - teach her a solid 'leave', get a new soft toy, ask someone to drop it and tell her 'leave', see how she does?
That's what my son said she should know what is hers and what isn't I will try that thank you

Dennis absolutely loves his cuddly toys! I think it’s important for them to have. When he’s happy or someone he loves comes to the house he always has to fetch one of them. I’m forever finding them all over the house!

Our friend has a young son and Den will go and pick his soft toys up (if they’re lying around) but he just knows that they’re not really his to have so hands them over easily.

I think your pup will know what’s hers and what isn’t :)
