Meet our baby Magpie, Bertie/Gertie. He/she is 5.5 to 6 weeks of age, he has jumped out of his cage and has taken charge of the kitchen, most of the dogs are sitting behind me and "Missy" is desperate to walk in and get past the magpie, but she thinks it is best to hide:eek::rolleyes:

Those pictures are fine.....;) I'm not surprised your dogs hide away when the big bird is about. The age of the lack of it doesn't come to it...that bird has a big and sharp beak to keep away from! Better be safe than sorry...:D

I have no idea how long he had been on the floor, he had found a piece of paper to run about with and jumped on one of the dogs back. All of the dogs then disapeared out of the kitchen:rolleyes:
.

Is this a bird you found that needed TLC? OH and I have always fancied a pet raven...

Yes, the tree came down in a wind.

Ravens really do imprint very well.
You may have to get the OH to do some climbing next year and get one. (strictly illegal)

Ha! I knew there was a reason I was still on Windows 7, thankyou!! (though your post did seem fine;))
Love the magpie:), dogs are so funny aren't they! I have a load of crows I feed up the hill and they proper play/tease the dogs, I caught one hopping behind Jake once about to pull his tail!

Oh how I wish I could go back to Windows 7. This windows 10 has messed up so many things that I can't understand. My camera and pictures are most important to me. It is as if someone has picked the whole lot up and given everything a bloody good shake. I hate change, especially when I don't understand computers that well, and can't solve the problems myself :mad::oops::oops:
We do have a nice little man who looks after our computers, he has tried to get things as close to what I was used to, but my pictures are so difficult to do now.:oops:

We have a rookery on our housing estate surrounding our house, we watch them from early in the year when they start carrying twigs for nest building. We put loads of mixed wild bird corn and suet pellets our for them. They come down into our garden at the moment bringing hoards of babies, all to get the free food. We have scenes of these large black birds coming down for their free food, that would put Alfred Hitchcocks "The birds" to shame.

I find Google Photos a bit of a mystery - I'm never sure what pictures I'm going to find where. Mostly I just store my photos in directory files (if that's the right word) and upload them to Flickr if I want to post them. Though I need to prune my Flickr account as I'm getting near to the 1000-photo limit.

All of my photo's go to one folder, each new lot of pictures have their own folder within the main one. It is the re sizing and where within the main folder I will find them. (they won't be very far). I could resize within one of the inner folders and the re size would remain in the same folder, but not any more, so I can look for ages to find the resized picture that I want. Everything just opens up differently, windows may think it knows what it is doing , but I have no idea:mad::mad: and I'm not a "mind reader"

Me, very angry and frustrated !!:oops:

What do we all do to back up our photos in case of a computer problem? I would hate to lose mine. I used to send important things to my sister's computer, but the one she has now doesn't like it.

I have an external hard disc that I back up important files to periodically. If you have a trusted friend or family member, it's a good idea for it to live in their house so if you ever had a fire your backup is safe.

My neighbour , a couple of doors away who introduced us to a computer and set our first ones up used to do back ups for me. Instructions were written down, how to do it, but over the years our systems have changed, her boyfriend added some extra information to it, and now nothing relates to anything in the instructions! I have had no back up for years:oops:

A bit like this??...Sorry for very poor pic quality, the file was too big so had to take a pic of it from the screen then load it!! You can just about make out the 2 dogs walking along side me and the crows..the crows usually come for the whole walk with me, there and back!

.

Sorry that all went a bit wrong:confused:, but you get the gist! I would never cope with changing to windows 10, I can barely manage this one!!!

How did you add that picture to my post?

@excuseme I didn't intend that, I tried to quote just the last bit of your post the 'Hitchcock' bit, but it quoted the lot. I deleted the bit of your post I didn't want, then added the pic and my answer...and that happened! I wonder if I somehow put my bit in amongst the quote brackets somehowo_O..before I posted it it looked alright, your quote, then my answer and a big pic.:(
Really sorry about that...

Hey, no offence taken at all.
I don't think I could have managed all of thato_O
Isn't it strange what we can manage unintentionally

.

:D Mostly I achieve things on the computer by fluke:rolleyes: and still get really chuffed, then for the life of me can't remember how I did it when trying again! I was going to try and post the crow post properly but that one had taken me so long(just for it to go wrong:mad:) so I gave up and went and did the sainsburys shop I'd been putting off all day!!
