Happy Birthday Arnie

Birthday.gif

Once again my K9 friends you have made me smile! Thank you all so much for the wonderful birthday wishes.

Arnie had a great day and celebrated by not only going up the stairs but coming down as well!

Oh, and he has found another benefit to not having a shoulder blade (apart from being able to lick his 'bits'), he has discovered that if he can get the momentum going to chase his tail....he can catch it!!!!! Imagine his shock when after 10 years of spinning and spinning and getting nothing, he then manages to get a whole mouthful of tail! My screams alerted him to the fact that he was about to lose the tip of his tail and I had visions of me waiting in the vets with a 3 legged dog with no tail!

So, a happy birthday but an exhausting one! We had a jog round the block last night and he finished it off with a nice big cuddle on the sofa under a blanket with his Mum watching Sex in the City! What more could a dog want!

Have a great day everyone!

In dog years, Arnie is 70 ........ can you imagine how a 70 year old man would behave if he suddenly discovered he had the same flexibility as Arnie now has? (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)

 thanks big sis i now have this strange image in my head :teehee:

I wonder if a 70 year old man would want to chase his tail or lick his bits first?! (Infact, Im with Tracy now and have a strange image that I don't want to be thinking about!).

Arnie went out in the garden on his own and enjoyed his new found freedom by rolling in the bushes! He then got up and had a good ol' shake! Bless him. He has managed to work his way around most obstacles and is doing really well.

Hope you are all enjoying your Thursday and thanks again for all the birthday wishes.

sorry i missed his birthday but Happy Belated Wishes Arnie

he is going from strength to strength don't know about the sex in the city bit,

Debbie, he's not a great SITC fan but he will cuddle under any circumstances!

Well, we took another huge step forward today. Took Arnie to a local field and had big plans to let him off the lead but I bottled out :(

I just couldn't do it. I was so afraid that he would run too fast and hurt himself/someone would let their dog attack him/he would get tangled in bushes/aliens would spot him and kidnap him (okay a bit extreme!) and just about anything that else I could possibly worry about!

So, we took a wander around the field (at least I had the extendable lead!) and he thoroughly enjoyed himself...as did my 18 month old who decided that it would be a good idea to roll in the mud!

Arnie is now fast asleep in his bed and looking very happy! :)

Glad I can cheer someone up! :)

I know this is off topic but does anyone get really pi**Ed off with their OH being so bloody positive?! I just wanted a good ol' moan this afternoon...not a bloody chance! He always has to come back with something positive! Love him and all that but let a woman moan....let me get it out of my system and wallow in self pity for a few minutes and I'll be fine! Now I've had to (yes HAD to!) get into an argument I didn't invite because he just wouldn't let me moan!

Arnie, is still asleep from his walk! Bless him, its the longest walk he's had in weeks!

Mmmm, makes for an interesting clean up doesn't it! I didn't know who to put in the car first! I was trying to remove shoes, wipe feet and keep everyone off the road! great fun!

This is a bloke thing - they think you want cheering up and/ or a practical solution when all you want is a moan. They also point out all the faults in your line of reasoning whilst you are moaning - "erm hello, there IS NO REASONING lol I'm having a rant".

For this reason I put all my moans in a blog - nobody I know reads it, it's completely anonymous, doesn't answer back and doesn't offer sodding practical solutions or long term plans ;)

Esty, I love your reasoning! I just moan to the dog! He doesn't answer back and listens intently when I talk to him...he doesn't listen to an ipod or play wii!

Well, my Arnie boy is doing really well (I must post some recent pics of him). He is bobbing along nicely and loves the snow! I think it's because he can fall and it doesn't matter..bless him!

Our walks have been very short - I'm talking the end of the driveway! But I can't say I blame him because it is cold and icy and nasty out.

I hope all my K9 friends are well and enjoying the beautiful snowy weather (that was positive wasn't it!? It took me 3 hours to do an hour journey last night...good ol' railway!)
