Hi Guys,
It has been a while since I posted anything but I need advice. One of my dogs, Hector, has just been diagnosed with canine Lupus, the SLE version. I know about this in humans as my Mum suffers with it but I have never come across it in dogs. He is very poorly at the moment. Do any of...
I have a fat boy too. Hector would eat for Britain given half a chance. Do you feed your dogs dried food? If so try soaking it in water before you give it to him. It makes the kibbles swell so the dog feels fuller quicker and won't eat as much.
It doesn't cost you anything and is worth a try...
Have you thought of contacting Leahurst Vetinary school, Annie. It is part of Liverpool Uni and is just down the road from the Two Mills. I haven't been there for years so can't guarantee they will help but it might be worth a phone call. Give Finn a cuddle for me. xx

What a sad story! Poor little mite. I had a similar problem as I had an old jack russel cross when Ash was a pup. When we lost Billy Ash really grieved and would wander around the house looking for him. He also started walking to heel off lead when we were out, almost as if he didn't want to...
My rescue whippet, Hector, suffers from fear aggression too, especially if the dog approaching him is very bouncy. When I fist had him I muzzled him if he was off lead but that was for my benefit rather than his. I took advice from a dog behaviourist and switched from using a halti and collar to...
