Yes we do worry , always questioning the ifs and buts ! I`ve always had all my dogs neutered at around 10-15 months of age, males and females , and havent ever had a weight problem with any of them , good luck !
Havent used Frontline for some time now but I`m pretty sure that its more effective if you leave it for at least 24 hours after bathing . Similarly, dont let them get soaking wet 24 hours after treatment, good luck .
Being black , my young Lab Sam seems to soak up the sun and heat , I try to do his morning walk before 9.30 and when its warm, his afternoon walk is in a shady wood with a dip in the river on the way home .
We live near Looe in Cornwall, and despite signs all over the car park, people still...
My Lab Sam adores the car, he travels on the back seat in a harness clipped to the seatbelt . We have travelled some fair distances with him , he doesnt make a peep, sits looking out of the window x
I havent personally but I know someone who did take their young Lab on a weekend training course, residential one . She said it was fantastic and has booked another one for June . You`re right, its more about training us how to best train our dogs ! My Lab, 22 months, is pretty good, isnt...
I had my Lab Sam castrated when he was 10 months old , I was planning to have him done anyway at around 12 months but he suddenly began to show an interest in the ladies and I didnt want to risk him wandering , plus the health benefits too . Have always had males neutered around this age and...
Thats a lovely bitter sweet story of your brave dog . It never ceases to amaze me how dogs can and do adapt to situations that us, there owners, would really struggle to accept , so well done to all .
One of mine was afraid, just nerves, not car sick . I was advised to do the following and it worked for her .
I would just take her to the car, sit with her and not start the car, just for a few minutes and gave her a treat . I then progressed to starting the car with her in it but not moving ...
Hi , first of all , I wouldnt advise you to get another dog , not for a while anyway and definately not until you have dealt with the problems with Dash . At 21 weeks , the aggression isnt likely to be just aggression but more a case of fear . Dogs have the flight or fight instinct, so when they...
if you go to the web site of the UK Kennel Club , click on the breed and you will get a list of KC accredited breeders . Would also suggest you ask at your local Vets , they might know of a breeder or just a resonsible owner whos bitch is having a litter ? Good luck and if you need any advice...
Thats shocking Susan , I do think that some rescues are so desperate that they rehome before fully assessing the dogs, with the resulting problems and trauma .
