You really need to listen to your Partner. Whether her concerns are well founded or not, she is obviously worried, so she should be listened to. I don't believe it's acceptable for any dog to climb into a crib with a baby. Your dog could harm your baby accidentally. She may mean no harm...

Your puppy's bottom doesn't look very red or abnormal to me. I wouldn't be unduly concerned. Do you know whether he has been wormed regularly by the Breeder?

I agree with the above. It isn't unusual for old/elderly dogs to become more choosy about food. I would absolutely give her what she enjoys.
