Race bred pups are much much cheaper. Racing people have a litter of pups when they want a new pup for themselves so they do not breed for profit. Downside is that they often go other racing homes. Anaesthetic circa £150. X-rays £30 each. Out of hours charge £150. Penicillin shot £20 cleaning and stitches plus time £100. All estimates based on experience of course. Was it a Specialist out of Hours vet like Vets Now? They are very expensive.

Very common in Whippets. Nothing to worry about although not the nicest to see bald patches.

I use a dremmel on my whippets. Not too bad noise wise and can use on a low speed if done weekly. My partner has to hold them steady while I do the deed!
