I'd always heard that raw potato was poisonous to humans, (I think it is related to deadly night shade :o ), and cooking rendered it harmless. :))
Mine like chips (I don't feed them this, they pull my arm off on the lead if they smell any that have been dropped (w00t) ), and mash is...
OMG that's a bit athletic!
I just stoop (what an old arthritic wreck I have become) with a bagged hand and scoop!
I like purple bags (how girlie is that?) - the Co-op do them, but get biodegradable ones if I can find them.

I agree with Helen, act now as this dog is dangerous to dogs and people, and seems to have a taste for attack which will only get worse, the more times it gets away with it, especially as the owner does not appear to have a responsible bone in her body or much grey matter in her noggin box. I...
I have found the police utterly useless in my case. A neighbour has a very aggressive staffie that has attacked a friend's dog and decided to take on my 4 whippets when they were on the lead and could not escape and it riped the side open of my boy Philip, he had to have an emergency operation...
I found Burns cured mine of dandruff in their fur, but that ear thing sounds a bit different. I didn't know that mites might be the cause of it.
One of mine got a blood blister on her ear and it swelled up like a samosa (alarming) (w00t) one vet suggested an op costing 700smakeroos (gulp!)...
 Talcum powder stems the flow, too.
I tried a nail file on mine, they had legged it before I could do a second rasp (w00t) . I have to bribe them with chockie drops (dog ones) one drop per claw, 2 as a bonus per paw and 4 as a reward for a finished job, it has helped, but they all hate...
My dad had an Airdale called Peggy when he was a young man, sadly it died whilst he was away in the airforce in WW2 :( . She liked to sleep in front of the fire and was so huge she blocked all the warmth for any one else!

Ours like to cuddle up in bed with us :huggles: , we never used any crates and they are all perfectly house trained, and will ask to go out if they need to  . If you are starting to sleep on the floor near the cage it might be better for you to get the cage near your bed if you...
Freddie - we inherited his name, as we were given him when he was 9.
Bobbie - my granny always called her dogs Bobbie, and I liked it. Also it was close to her rescue name Bambi, which I was not so keen on.
Philip - at request of a person who wanted him, then called him Albert, neglected him...
