think they need to clamp down on the non peds/ crosses for starters, because at least with the peds someone has paid a lot of money for them, and is far less likely to just mistreat and dump.
Don't think for one minute KC papers & an extortionate price tag will stop a dog being mistreated & dumped in rescue, there are also Puppy Farms all over the country excessively breeding pedigree dogs.

The content of the original post has nothing to do with non peds & crosses so i don't understand why they got brought into it.

1st cross or 1/2 cross it should've been on a lead, lady & bob actually ad a go back if plus me poor staffie lady well launched in (if you knew her you'd think no way !!! Get in girl lol)if they didn't they would of been savaged they doin ok

Hope Bobs ok :huggles: Poor lad.
The staffie is it's own worst enemy, it attracts idiots who have no dog sense yet it is one of the most difficult dogs to own. Is it any wonder pounds across the country are overrun with them? :(
couldnt agree more :( think they need to clamp down on the non peds/ crosses for starters, because at least with the peds someone has paid a lot of money for them, and is far less likely to just mistreat and dump. the crosses however are 'disposable' and can be bought from £50 upwards, and therefore are accessable to the knuckle dragging thugs wanting a hard dog that they will twist to suit their idea, who will breed them until they sag for a quick buck then get rid  breaks my heart, and it clogs up rescue needlessly :(
Having a big bank balance doesn't make you a loving caring dog owner

no it certainly doesnt, and vicky makes a good point about puppy farms churning them out with pedigrees, BUT i stand by what i said, show bred, and cared for pups are well out of the price range of the jackasses who havent a clue what is required to raise an animal properly, and they are one of the problems along with just generally ineffectual owners :(

as for how crosses came up, i wrote in response to wild whippies mentioning rescue being filled with them, and they indeed are usually crosses and non peds. no doubt after xmas there will be the usual upsurge :(
