Hi, just wondering if anyone can help with info. Crispy's first trial is on NYE, as i've not entered one before, do you recieve info and your entry number before hand or do you get it on the day. I sent my entry form well before the due date but i havent had anything back yet, I'm just mondering if my entry didnt make it? Please help :)

Sorry, do not know anything about entering trial, but when you enter a show, you get the number with info about start times etc. few days to one week before the show, that comes in the self addressed and stamped envelope we include with our entries. If I was not sure about something re- the show I entered i would call the show secretary - that is the person to whom I sent the entry. Most likely you should be able to do the same, contacting the particular obedience club person organising the entries. Best of luck with the trial :)

It will depend on the club, the running of trials is very different to confirmation shows. Also I can't remember if Crispy is a boy or girl, as trials have vetting prior to competition (I was lucky enough to get this job when I was Treasurer of the Geelong Obedience Dog Club ... and I've never been in an obedience ring LOL!!) ring the trial secretary or information should be in the schedule .... Easiest way to see if your entry has been received is to check if your cheque has been cashed, but not all clubs do their banking regularly to rely on this!! Have fun on the day and let us all know how you go! :luck:

Like Elmaro says, it depends on the club but sending out numbers beforehand is pretty unusual. Sometimes you get a receipt.

Easiest way to know for sure would be to ring the trial secretary.

Don't forget that unlike a dog show you actually have to check in at a given time, have your name crossed off as being present and do any necessary vetting procedures (check the schedule).

Good luck!

Vetting is between 6 - 6:45, and she is a girl (not desexed). The trial starts at 7. I must assume i will recieve the entry number upon vetting, I havent been able to get in contact with the trial secretary as yet but i will keep trying. Cheers for the info.

FYI you get your entry number when you get to the trial during vetting. As for how we went we got 3rd in class, 97/100 1 point behind 1st and 2nd. It was a pity crispy got distracted by a dog in the next ring and missed a call, but i guess 97 is still good :)

Congratulations! That is excellent result. Good to see Whippets showing that they are not just beautiful. By the way, yesterday I came across this one
