Yes it's Rocklea Ag on Sunday, will post details once it's advertised, haven't looked into the Monday as yet

Cristina

I was at Sea World in October and the Dolphins were great too.

Awesome!!! Polar Bears, Dolphins ... making an idiot of oneself on a mic ... sounds like its gonna be fun!!

Thank you so much for the photo's .... their beautiful creatures ............ now I really need to go to Sea World - last trip Ray and I took togeather that was for Dog Shows, we took one day out to go to Movie World and the car was stolen, so we were stranded but eventually made it back to our motel and then had to work out how to get the trailer and dogs home without a car, ended up having to buy one down there to get home - so Movie World not my favourite place and Ray refuses to go to any more theme parks dammit :p

Great shot of you Griff standing on the dolphin's snouts- I thought you could only pay to swim with them. :D

Lana, the country hicks are all welcome to Karaoke for us after the show if they feel in the mood to celebrate- I'll organise the mic for you. Perhaps you could welcome us all at the beginning with a country rendition of Advance Australia Fair.

Elly- you seriously need to forget about Rocklea Ag on and head off to Seaworld- or Australia Zoo maybe- any croc pics Griff?? Then you can have the dog show bug again on Monday.

I have actually sung the National Anthem (officially) in front of a huge crowd at one of those moto-cross thingie bobs - does that qualify me?

Is it really obvious through our banter that there are NO shows on at the moment????

Except in Melbourne...

This appeared on my puppy thread but I think Elly meant to post it here....

OK so not sure if everyone will see this but its worth a shot as I don't have everyone's email addresses.

Shows this weekend in Melbourne.

Start times for Saturday have DEFINITELY been moved to 7.30am due to the heat policy ... apparently the forecast is 38c (everywhere I've looked its been 34c but what's a couple of degrees I guess) I've also been told that more than likely the same start time will be for the Sunday show too.

Cheers

Elly

I think so Lana - so looks like there will be a night of partying after the show (win or lose)

and yes no shows that's why we doing all the planning for the year now :D

Cristina

Thanks Lana ... clearly still half asleep when I did it!

Never been to Queensland before ... Seaworld looks amazing!! I will have to start saving me thinks!

According to the dates book-

Whippet Show Sat 1st May

Rocklea AG Sun 2nd

Maree KC OS & CH Mon 3rd

HOWEVER ... there is also a triple header in Rockhampton that weekend so. I reckon Elly, you should take a week off and fly up to Brissie - meet me and Cris there and we'll haul you and Cooper up to Rockie overnight on the Sat (no Karaoke then) :( and do the Rockie Sunday and Monday shows then Cris drops u & me off in Mirani, u spend a week at my place and then we head up to Tully and Ingham, meeting Cris on the way and car pooling, then on the way back you can fly out of Townsville back to Melbourne...

HOW'S THAT FOR A PLAN ???

That sounds a great plan, but you might want to take another week off work Elly - to recover  :D

Cristina

Hey Lana, think your allowed to clebrate now with Darcie's Rising Star of 2009 1st place (enteries closed 6th Jan 10)

(As per the rules of

Final date for submission of all results is 6th January, 2010. Title certificates for the Advance Breeder competition will be accepted until 15th January, 2010 to allow for postage delays)

Congratulations to Jasmyne and yourself on Ozrhode Celtic Sands (Darcie) wonderful achievment

My fun loving Pharaoh Hound 'Hunter' Ch Rhodepark Star Hunter came 2nd in the overall of the Best of Breed Leaderboard to his brother and No 1 for Queensland - Woo Hoo :D - His brother Lewis took line honours for Best of Breed, Best All Breeds and Rising Star for 2009 along with their breeder taking number one spot clearly for Best Breeder.

Cristina

Well, knowing that Jenna told Toni she had to settle for second - and having spoken to Griff and making sure that Hannah had no more points to add, and I know the fourth dog hasn't got any more, I think I am now safe to say that Darcie

Ozrhode Celtic Sands

proudly owned by myself and Jasmyn Grendon and bred by Steve and Sue Codognotto

is the

#1 Whippet Rising Star in Australia

She is also

Queensland's #2 Hound Rising Star

and

Australia's #8 Hound Rising Star

on the Dogzonline National Pointscore.

Very, very pleased indeed.

I'd also like to add that Dino, Gr Ch Aslan That's Amore came in at #9 out of 88 competitors for the Breed Points Comp (points scored within the breed only) and #11 Whippet out of 48 competitors for the All Breeds Comp (where you can include points for group/show wins)

Jill - Ch Phoenway Blue Anjill - came #11 out of 88 in the Breed Comp and was #22 Whippet in the All Breeds Comp.

Young Autumn (Ch Aslan Petticoat Junction), on limited showing, came #28 in the Breed Comp and was #25 Whippet in the All Breed Comp.

And with any luck I might end up as #3 Whippet Breeder....

So the Aslan Team - did pretty well overall. Gotta be happy with that.

Whilst that plan does sound tempting ... I think I would be pushing it getting time off work when I'm already in the negative for annual leave!

I guess I could find another job though!! (w00t)

MELBOURNE SHOWS THIS WEEKEND

THE COMMITTEE HAS REVERSED ITS DECISION AND THE START TIME IS NOW BACK TO 9AM!!

Thought the decision was made a bit prematurely but then I guess the committee is damned if they do and damned if they don't!!

Yep ... just looked at the pointscore it says FINAL - Woo-hoo!

Only the breeder comp to be declared ...

Thanks for kicking us off again Lana.
I know that Laddie ( Lysnagah Labarum) took BOB down in Victoria today for his owner Doug Broadbent. Not sure of any other details though so maybe someone down that way may have them. Congrats Doug- good way to start the year.
A bit behind but " LADDIE " & Doug say thanks for the congrats on his BOB & hopes its his year.

Doug.

WOOO!!! GO LITTLE LASER!!! (I'm having another proud nana moment ... there's been a few this weekend!!) Toni do you have any more recent pics of Laser and Coco?
Elie's proud because Laser got two CC's against competition and 2 Minor Puppy Groups from his first 2 shows this year now he's in Minor Puppy. I'm always scared when a youngster does so well and worry that the legs will fall off or something else happen! Hopefully, he'll follow in his mum's steps.

Will post some pics of Blue's babies (if I can get John to help stack them). They're getting to that wild - will not stand still - what can I get into - run through my poo - but cuddly stage of puppyhood, which doesn't always fare well for taking pictures.

Rocklea isn't at Durack is it? Just planning!

Cheers
