A FEW PEOPLE ASK.. WOT DO U THINK MY PUP WILL MAKE? IVE BEEN TOLD A FEW THEORIES OVER THE YEARS AND AS IVE GOT 2 PUPS WHO I WUD SAY NOW R MORE OR LESS FULLY GROWN I THOUGHT ID SHARE THOSE THEORIES.

OK WEIGH YOUR PUP @ 12 WEEKS DOUBLE IT THAT WILL GIVE U THE WEIGHT FULLY GROWN DID THIS WITH OUR RIO AND @ 12 WEEKS SHE WEIGHED 14LB WHICH WUD MAKE HER 28LB FULLY GROWN... SHES 26LB. SO NOT TOO FAR OUT.

WEIGH YOUR PUP @ 13 WEEKS AND DOUBLE IT THAT WILL GIVE THE U WEIGHT FULLY GROWN DID THIS WITH OUR GEM AND @ 13 WEEKS SHE WEIGHED 15LB SO THAT WUD MAKE HER 30LB FULLY GROWN.... SHES 31LB SO AGAIN NOT TOO FAR OUT.

FINAL ONE IS WEIGH YOUR PUPS @ 20 WEEKS AND ADD 4LB AND U WONT B FAR WRONG, RIO WAS JUST OVER 22LB @ 20 WEEKS ADD ON 4LB THAT MAKES 26LB WHICH IS EXACTLY WOT SHE IS.

GEM WEIGHED 25LB @ 20 WEEKS ADD ON 4LB MAKES 29LB SHE WEIGHS 31LB SO NOT FAR WRONG :teehee:

NONE OF THESE WORK WITH A CROSS GREYHOUND THOUGH LOL U CUD TRY DOUBLING IT AND ADDING 15. @ 13 WEEKS WHICH WAS THE NEAREST ONE FOR US WITH MICKEY WHIZZ HE WAS 15LB @ 13 WEEKS AND WENT ON TO RACE @ 50LB.

all theories are blown out of the window ,just look at pick pocket and beside the point,

beside the point was the heaviest but look what they ended up at

From my own records , none of my pups has reached half it's racing weight before 12 weeks and all have reached half their racing weight by 15 weeks.

You'd know if I been to Tony's to commit burglary, the only thing to be missing would be these records o:) .

As I'm the organised one.... (w00t) I've uploaded most of them onto excel now and done some graphs. I'll try and add them at some point.

just see what you end up with..andy foster bred a litter, out of tylers tornado she was 21lb a dog n a bitch i got the biggest bitch andy got the smallest dog,his small dog ended up 48lb,my big bitch ended up 15lb and she was a good little eater :blink:and the last litter out of the fly one, vodka blue 18lb flyguy 35lb,,they will be what they will be

Our dogs range from 17lb up to 44lb so quite a wide range in weights to use as comparison, the only ones who the 12 weeks x 2 + 1lb has worked out for has been Maid Your Point & his mum Taylor Maid.

Different breeders all do litters totally different and people have different ideas on rearing pups so i think it's impossible to compare against other peoples litters/pups, then there's whether the pup has thrown back to greyhound.

You just can't tell, you can have fun guessing though lol

No idea what my Frankie will be. He has slowed down a bit now. 14.8 lb. Biggish feet and knuckles though !!!

And huge ears. (w00t)

these are of course just theories and like vicky says u can have fun guessing. yes u can have all diffrent weights in one litter but did u weigh all of them @ 12/13 and 20 weeks and do the doubling or adding 4lb etc? be very interseting to c wot happens to the weights of pups on here if people did the 12/13 and 20 weeks. i know milly is doing it and think some others will do it. all purely 4 fun im not saying its goin to b exact. ;)

12 week bentley was 13 lb 5oz=27  now around 36,thats that theory up the wall carole

depends on the breeding i think, bentley has taken after his gran not his mam weight doent bother me like a strong dog, wouldnt like a light weight would be frightened to run it in case of injury.but there are some wirerie tuff littleuns about just not my cup of tea.

Here are the weights of our Sheila and Norman

Sheila at 10 weeks was 13lbs 9oz Norman 13lb 4oz

Sheila at 14 weeks 18lb 3oz Norman 18lb 10oz

Sheila at 17 weeks 23lb Norman 24lb 01oz

Sheila at 20 weeks 25lb 8oz Norman 27lb 12oz

Sheila at 24 weeks 29lb 5oz Norman 32lb 6oz

Sheila at 28 weeks 31lbs 8oz Norman 35lb 4oz.

Sheila ended up at a natural 31lb when fully fit, Norman runs at 36lbs/37lbs there now 27 months old :)
