No I'd say the Rocklea Ag is at the Rocklea showgrounds which is only a 10-15 minute trip down the road from Durack.

Very, very pleased indeed.

I'd also like to add that Dino, Gr Ch Aslan That's Amore came in at #9 out of 88 competitors for the Breed Points Comp (points scored within the breed only) and #11 Whippet out of 48 competitors for the All Breeds Comp (where you can include points for group/show wins)

Jill - Ch Phoenway Blue Anjill - came #11 out of 88 in the Breed Comp and was #22 Whippet in the All Breeds Comp.

Young Autumn (Ch Aslan Petticoat Junction), on limited showing, came #28 in the Breed Comp and was #25 Whippet in the All Breed Comp.

And with any luck I might end up as #3 Whippet Breeder....

So the Aslan Team - did pretty well overall. Gotta be happy with that.

Just a little brag, our Maggie (Ch Parnew Wild Irish Rose) won **** Best In Show **** yesterday under Mrs C Keong (Qld)

Congratulations Griff and Maggie. Carol is a Central Qld local. Corgi lady but doesn't mind a whippet. My Aime has won under her.

WOW - what a haul! All that for one BIS?

We'd get four ribbons (BIG/classIG, BIS/classIS) and two trophies (BIG/BIS) if we're lucky!
 
I wish it was for one show it was over three shows.

First day we got nothing.

Day 2 Maggie BOB, RUBIG and Elliot was DCC RUBOB and Puppy In Group.

Day 3 Maggie Best In Show, didn't show Elliot

Day 4 Maggie BOB BIG and State Bred In Show, didn't show Elliot.

So three days out of four was pretty good going.

We got five ribbons (BIG/classIG, BIS/classIS) and one for the breeder of the Best In Show winner (A nice touch) :D
 
Entries for the upcoming Whippet Club of Queensland two open shows being held on the 20th February, 2010 are due to close tomorrow 29th January 2010 - if you would like information on these shows please check your December Dog World for schedules or I am quite happy to send you the information via email.

Congrats to Ashleigh on handling Darcie for Junior in Show on Sunday. Good on ya girls :thumbsup:

After all my positive thoughts throughout the week I decided Saturday morning not to risk the drive to Mackay because of the extreme bad weather here, glad we didn't go as I'm sure people had a hard time getting home. Was disappointed as they would of been our first shows for the year now looks like we have to wait nearly a month before getting to one.
