Rip Twiggy 1968-2010

I had to say goodbye to Twiggy, my dearly loved little shetland pony, today.

Time had caught up with her at 42 years of age :'(

I am so very sorry. She lived to a wonderful age and you cared for her so well and gave her every chance. If only every pony could have such a caring owner. Run free beautiful Twiggy.
 
So very,very sorry Jane .Twiggy was so lovely and it was a pleasure to meet her and i will always remember her waking Lee & me up when she banged the caravan .xxx

42 is a good age for any pony...she was born the same year as myself...i feel old now!!

I'm so sorry to hear about Twiggy Jane

she was such a tolerant wee pony, loved the way she was totally unfazed by the hooligan whips tearing up her paddock, I'm sure if she could have rolled her eyes and tutted at them she would have,

canter free in warm, soft green meadows Twiggy
 
So sorry to hear about the loss of Twiggy. She lived to a great age and was obviously really loved and cherished. What a gorgeous girl. :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub:

So sorry to hear that your wee girl has gone.

My first pony will be the same age as Twiggy. I have worried about him and his where-abouts all my life, I can only hope he ended up in a home as loved and cared for as the one you gave Twiggy.

So sorry to read this. RIP Twiggy, forever grazing with the sun on her back now.

What a lucky pony to have spent all her years with you. I often think ponies have harder lives than horses because they are outgrown and passed on to other homes.
