As of 31 March 2010, Portsmouth Greyhound Stadium will be closed and around 200 greyhounds are now effectively homeless.

WE ARE DESPERATE FOR FOSTER HOMES FOR THESE DOGS.

If you have ever considered fostering or have fostered in the past, could you squeeze another one into your home whilst we endeavour to find permanent homes for these greyhounds who, through no fault of their own or their trainers, now have no job to do. If you are considering adopting another hound, maybe you would consider doing so sooner rather than later. Have you got friends who could help us out by fostering and/or adopting?

This situation is serious and we need to get as many dogs out to safety as soon as possible. The trainers are reeling as they now have no job and no income. We are hoping that the RGT will help but let's face it, they will be inundated too.

Please spread the work amongst everyone you know so we can help as many as we possibly can. Please contact me if you are interested and I am sure that Kim, our star fosterer would be happy to answer any questions on what fostering a greyhound entails.

Please remember why G4U exists - purely and simply to help greyhounds.

can i suggest that you post this on the whippet forum as there are quite a number of dual owners. hope that you are able to rehome the dogs. the greyhound is very badly done to especially ex racers.
