Ask your vet if he would report the original owner to the RSPCA, it would have more clout. I hope they do not have any other dogs.Poor little baby, :luck: :luck: :luck: Chloe
Many of you will remember this thread from a while ago. I am typing through tears as I have to tell you that sadly Chloe died in my arms at the vets tonight after a freak accident on her walk tonight. After her awful start in life I feel cheated that she didn't get to spend more good years with us. I can't imagine life being bearable without her.

I am so sorry, Vicky - I feel absolutely terrible for you in your loss. Chloe is lucky to have found you and you should feel proud of what you did for her. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, I remember when you took her home like it was only yesterday. So so sorry to read this, during her time with you she knew love and comfort, something she didnt have before. Her time was short but I am positive it was as precious to her as it was to you. You gave her a great life. Never forget that. xxx

So sorry,

You gave Chloe a loving home if only for a short time, please remember the good tmes and how you saved this little girl.

You gave her a second chance and she was loved so much.

Run Free Chloe, until you both meet again xxx

Oh No, how totally tragic - so pleased she knew how it felt to live as a cared for an adored little girl

I am so very sorry for your loss x

Oh Vicky, I am so sad to be reading this.

Chloe had the best time with you and will always be in your heart

Run free, pretty little girl xxxx

I've just read through this original post from 2008 and the latest heart breaking news. I am so very sorry and know exactly what you are going through. We rescued our little Pip who had had a terrible first 10 months with her original 'family' and she was killed four months ago in an accident, aged just 3 years. Nothing will make you feel better yet and, like you I feel thoroughly cheated for myself and for my darling Pip. These dogs should all go on to live long and happy lives but sometimes it is not meant to be. Know that you gave Chloe sanctuary and that she was happy and loved - we can't do any more. Thinking of you all. Angela and Tilly and Gracie the whippies. xxx

:( Oh no! Im so sorry. What a sad week this has been :( Take solace in the fact that you made such a big difference to her life - she probably wouldnt have survived if not for you.

I found this little poem a comfort, hope it helps you too

You wouldn't want me to suffer so,

When the time comes, please, let me go.

Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,

Only, stay with me until the end

And hold me firm and speak to me

Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you will agree

It is a kindness that you do to me.

Although my tail its last has waved,

From pain and suffering I have been saved.

Don't grieve that it must be you

Who has to decide this thing to do;

We've been so close -- these few past years,

Don't let your heart hold any tears.

RIP Chloe, William and my own Lacey all lost this week.

I am so very sorry.

At least she was with you when she passed away.

I know from experience just how devastating it is to have an injured dog die in your arms.

You feel so helpless and it is so sudden. It is heartbreaking. I will never forget my beautiful Peat. Even though it is over a year, I miss him every day. Just remember the special time you had together and the happy times

Thinking of you in the weeks ahead :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

So sorry to hear this.

You did such a fantstic job getting her back to health after her bad start to life

I will be glad when march has been and gone it has been such a sad month what with the loss of Rowan then Lacey and William and now Chloe and probly others that I haven't read about. All I seem to have done is cry.

Run free all 4 of you play nicely at the bridge and we'll see you again some day.
