I can't find what Hobgoblin ran against for her title and I presume your not interested in r-ups as I'd be here all night! (w00t)

I agree that solo title wins are dissapointing for the owner but like Ray says it's what's there on the day and I'm quite happy seeing our veteran dogs still running especially when you take Diane's comments on board about the dogs career as a whole. Like I said on the thread that probably got Carol posting it's not the titles I rate but the competition the dog's beat over it's lifetime.
she was deff racing against uptown girl when she won the fed 35lb title (old fed...that is )

I think most of you know that we didnt get Perry (Dodgy Chaser) till he was nearly 4yrs old, our first whippet. He won his first title at the 2008 NNWRF champs 40lb veteran scratch. We cried, we laughed, we sobbed. I have never been so proud, he had come such a long way and had won in such grand company

I can remember when Toy Soldier won his 1st title it was at chesterfield and he was 13 months , and it was round the bends i didn`t think he stood a chance, as he was in against the. brilliant Steinman who was really on form at the time , when he came off the last bend and was leading i think i was with Alison and we were screaming for Benji at the top of our voices one of the most memorable days i have ever had.
