She arrived at 1.00

We have all been out for a walk so that she can get to know her new friends. She is a sweet gentle soul who just wants love

Mike the courrier is just as lovely as he sounded on the phone. He said that she was clean in the house! Now that is my kind of courrier. I thought he would have had her in a kennel overnight. He had a few other things to say as well. The former owner did not even hand over a collar or lead for her!

She is quite big for a whippet I suspect that she may have a touch of collie about the face but perhaps I am just used to my own little group of faces.

Not sure about a name yet thinking about Honey, Sally or Belle but need to spend some time getting to know her first.

I Hope the photos work OK

My dogs seem fine with her although Toddy will not stop bothering her to play. I have left her quiet in a cage for the next hour so that she can rest. Toddy has decided to wind up Lilly instead :clown: :D

I am just so glad that she is here safe and sound.

She looks lovely . I'm no expert but she looks all whippet to me . Maybe it's the fact she is a working whippet and yours are show type that makes her look a bit different to you ? The names you have chosen are lovely and she looks like a Sally or a Honey to me .

She is lucky to be away from the person who wanted rid of her . Maybe now she can enjoy life :luck:  :luck:

That's great news Eve :D She is such a lovely looking girl with such a kind expression on her little face, bless her.

That says it all when her previous owner couldn't even hand her over with a collar and lead

I think Belle is a lovely name for her :-

Thank you for posting some pics of her so quickly. Looking forward to hearing all about her, as the days go on :huggles:

Oh such a lovely ending   ........At least now she is safe, secure and getting all the love and care she deserved  ,she looks lovely   Good luck with her Eve,and well done for taking her on

Aww bless  She's beautiful  Glad she's fitting in nicely with the rest of the family. x

We, at Scruples, are happy to hear that Tip has made it to Scotland safe and well :D

Good luck for the future with her, Eve. Hopefully the seller will find registration papers and send them on to you

Molly was handed over with just a piece of rope around her neck ........ when a dog is sold for profit in this way, they don't give anything away!

eve she looks lovely

i like belle or honey,

i think lilly and belle sound nice together :huggles:

good luck for the vets :luck: :luck:

hope that we get to meet her soon :huggles:

Wonderful news - glad she has settled in so quickly :)) Your courier sounds like an angel!

She does look like a full whippie - my two are half work (sire) / half show (dam)whippets and are pretty big - 22". Their mum is 21" so as Hula says, perhaps it's just that she's from working stock. She looks beautiful, anyway.

Hope you have many fantastic years with her :luck: :luck:

I just love that 3rd picture, she looks as though she's sighing and saying "bliss, I'm home at last"! Well done to you for giving her a lovely home, I'm sure she'll reward you a hundred time over.

 She looks really sweet, I love the name Belle and think it would really suit her. :luck: :luck: With her, she looks like she is settling in really well.

She is a beauty and looks quite at home with your other dogs already

awww she looks lovely, and seems to have settled really quickly, hope she has a peaceful first night

Eve, I am so glad she arrived safe and well. Lovely photographs of her, especially the one with her eyes shut having her head stroked. What trusting souls these dogs are and how cruel that this trust is so often abused. I love your choice of names, especially Honey - she really is one. Good luck in the next few days, especially at the vets. :luck: :luck:

she looks very happy, I wouldn't be surprised if she had a tiny bit of collie in there, but time will tell once she has lived in a house for a while, see what her coat ends up like, she is very pretty

Glad she's safely there with you, she looks a lovely girl

Ive been to work today Eve and kept thinking how I was dying to see her safe and sound with you....

Its just lovely to see...and she is a lovely girl too  and your courier certainly sounds a lovely person too....very caring...

Good luck with everything, hope she settles in quickly with you all :luck: Im sure shes going to love your gang and that gorgeous garden too.

That third picture says it all, she obviously knows about cuddles and is glad to have found some! Hope all goes smoothly for you and her and that she brings you many years of joy, as you will to her.

Bless her  She is so good

Presently curled up behind me in the bedroom in her cage (with door open) sleeping off a long 24 hours.

Fortunately, Toddy has given up demanding that she come out to play  (she just ignores him anyway)

She has already figured out that I am the one who must be buttered up if she has any chance of ruling the roost :D

I am pretty sure that she is all whippet, but the way she rests her head on your lap with the nose up is very collie.

She is an absolute sweetie and I bet she has my husband wrapped around her paw in no time.

I think she is a bit older than advertised, probably about 3 looking at her teeth and I am sure that she has had more than 1 litter of pups. The present pups are not evident but she has apparently (owner let slip) also had the company of a GSD dog. It gets better and better.

Anyway, she is safe now.
