Georgina and Kevin have asked me to post the very sad news that today they had to make the hard decision to have Slippy Blue

put to sleep due to failing health aged 14 years.

A wonderful dog, he will be greatly missed.

So sorry! Rest In Peace Sonny :huggles:

It's never easy saying goodbye but Sonny's had a long and happy life which should be a comfort to you both. Treasure the memories and he'll stay forever in your heart.

Great little dog, always gave 100% and often more when it was needed, sorry for George and Kev, you made the best decision for a good dog.

such a sad time for you i know how much you loved sonny this little lad was one of the best dogs ever to have graced a whippet track, truly a legend R.I,P Sonny xxx kisses from us and your sister lisa

I'm sure Georgina will appreciate everyones kind words. I expect she will post a message herself when she is feeling better.

If anyone has a photo of Sonny from his racing days it would be a nice tribute to him to put it on. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Sonny, he was a fantastic dog in his day and raced in a very competative class to win the finals, and then in turn had very talented dogs to contend with in the main finals, he took on the best and won, I will be featuring him in the next w news, sadly the only oic I can find (lost loads) is this 'Fashion Special Memorial Trophy' Ilkeston 1998, winner Slippy Blue, 2 Montana, 3 Rapid Fire. Anyone with any of his 'big' wins please email them ie; Scottish Derby, G Jackets Supreme Rch & Ch of Ch's wins etc....he has left us with so many happy memories. RIP Sonny.
