Yorkshire Game Fair - Harewood House 30/31 May

We have been invited back for the 2nd year to provide a simulated coursing display in the main ring at Harewood House on both days.

Anyone interested in running their whippet and promoting the breed to the general public please get in touch asap.

We need 8 runners both days, all entrants get a free pass into the game fair which is one of the biggest with a large lurcher terrier and whippet show.

It`s first come first served for this one.

Already have Geordie and the Winterfell gang as runners
 
nothing to run at the moment but might come for a day out.

A good day yesterday , a few technical problems in the morning , but a great display in the afternoon watched by a good crowd and some good PR work for both coursing and the whippet as a working breed.

Here`s the winner of the demonstration 8 dog stake Sarah Layfield with one of the Winterfell bitches

Here`s Monday`s winner Finn with his owner and Arron, nice to meet you and Dave . Thanks to all who competed and all those who helped to put on the display - a good time was had by all
 
We had a great day out at the game fair :thumbsup: and was so chuffed with Swift and Fynn getting into the final of the coursing with little Fynn ;) just pipping Swift.Then Fynn going on to win the uphill sprint was just amazing :D .

Thanks again to Nigel for organising the display and allowing our two to course on the Monday :thumbsup: , and a big thanks to Arron for his great slipping :thumbsup:

its been a great couple of days, think the crowd really enjoyed getting involved and 'volunteering' their dogs to have a go.

Very pleased with Lily winning the uphill sprint on Sunday in addition to the fun coursing demo. She went on to come runner up in the hillsprint to Finn on the Monday too.

Finns a big strong lad Jackie, a lovely dog.

Looking forward to the next event :)
