We held our fun day on Sunday, and what a great day we had, with a total entry of 90 dogs, with a huge variety of breeds. There was such a lovely atmosphere. Lots of dogs having a go at fun runs, with some real talent  , whippet racing, and the Beagles racing for the Jan Bell Memorial trophy.

Best in Show went to Cosmo the Border terrier

Best Puppy in show was Daisy the whippet

Best Veteran in Show went to Buffy the whippet

Winner of the Jan Bell Memorial trophy went to Murphy, and was presented by Mr Tom Bell

Whippet racing

Heavy weight winner - Swift

Light weight winner - Susie

I would like to thank our judges - Mr Tom Bell, Mr Dave Wilson, Miss Maggie Hendrie and Miss Lorna Gray for some great judging, Liz and Linda for keeping us all fed, everyone who helped out on Saturday, and on the fun day, Scott for being our official photographer, Graham for all the hard work over the weekend and for stewarding, and especially Carolyne for her hard work this weekend too

Photos will follow shortly

Jill

Brilliant day out, I'd like to add my thanks to the judges and to our brilliant steward Graham, to all the show organisers and to the very hard working (and much appreciated) canteen ladies :)

I've seen some of the photos online on Picassa, some brilliant ones of my dogs (marred only by having the handler in the shot!) :)

p.s. Jill didn't Buffy beat Cosmo in the veteran class, or was that a different border terrier? :teehee:

We enjoyed our day out too, was a really good day. Was lovely to see lots of whippets and others! We enjoyed seeing all the different dogs have a shot at racing. Penny loved having a shot of the fun run, she was off down the track like a wee rocket, not seen her run so fast in a while!

Not seen any pictures yet, but look forward to seeing some of the day :)

Howdy all,

Scott here, the photographer, not one of those other Scotts. =)

Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to all the organisers for such a great job and all their hard work, thanks for letting me loose with your pups and small horses. Thanks also to Jill and the gang for inviting me to take the 'official photos', I hope I covered all the important ones.

Not sure what pics are on Picassa, they're not mine, I don't use Picassa. I sent some shots to Jill but I guess she hasn't had time to get them on yet, so here's a link to them on my flickr page for you:

I'm sure Jill will still stick some here for some bling to the page. =)

If anyone wants to buy prints or higher res digital files, please get in touch by PM or email from the cards I gave out.

Hope you enjoy them.
