Thank you. Didn't realise it was the club champ show today. We went a couple of years ago but they haven't sent me a schedule since then.

Mind you with not having William any more I don't have a greyhound to show.

Re the Sp, Racing and Coursing Class, Oh Dear !!!! Should have gone specsavers.

I show Button in the racing and coursing classes.

I thought these classes were for dogs that were either retired or in racing at the time. Do they only have to be registered with the GBGB and the KC to be eligable? This must be the case as the puppy winner won the racing and coursing class and if he is in the puppy class would not be old enough to race yet.

joe looks amazing, what i find difficult to understand is how can a puppy that obviously has never raced and is not even in the greyhound data

win the racing and coursing class, mind boggling to say the least

i loved the open dog class any pics of the bitch classes

Re the Racing class, I think there is no stipulation that they have to have raced, just be racing bred as these youngsters are. Brenda Rowe has bred a racing litter and they are KC registered as well as GSB registered I think.

Looked like a nice day up there, well done to the winners.

Thanks for the photos, looks like a good day was had by all concerned.

How nice to see Bob and Elaine and their very handsome hounds.

I have not been to a greyhound show since I lost mine prematurely in 2003 with an immune mediated condition.

I still hanker after another I must admit.

Well done to all the winners.

i just assumed being racing ang coursing class it meant thats what they would have had to do,

so if you can breed a racing litter and register it with the kc, why don't they include a puupy class for them,

I don't know. Brenda who owns the black puppy registered them at the KC under her kennel name, but they are all racing bred. Ask her or the greyhound club secretary. Coursing is banned now, lure coursing isn't. Personally I think they should drop the coursing and just have racing, as we have with our whippet clubs.

To clarify my bitch won the bitch racing/coursing class and overall best racing coursing..she trialled but did not officially race. There is no stipulation that says they must of ran/won an official race so however tiring it can become with puppies not even old enough to trial being shown in a racing class the rule book states the only stipulation is that the dog must be registered with the NGRC or GBGB as it is now and also registered with the KC.
