Good luck to all entrants

 Just been on the Broughton website, is there no lurcher and terrier show this year? i can only see whippets mentioned although there is terrier racing. and I wondered why the BASC have no stand there this year? Also a friends just rung me and told me there is no show for working terriers at the Yorkshire show this year!! anyone know why? schedules were sent out but she said entries were returned stating "not enough interest". I find that hard to believe, and wondered if it would be anything to do with the docking of working dogs and the ruling regarding members of the paying public??

Ive shown lurchers and terriers at Broughton on and off the past 22 years I hope ive got the whole thing wrong :wacko

Does anyone know?

There is no lurcher and terrier show this year due to the behaviour of a very small number of lurcher owners who caused some trouble last year. I feel really sorry for the organisers who had run the terrier and lurcher event at this show for 20 years or so. Don`t know about the Great Yorks show though??

The whippet show is definitely on tomorrow though

:( Aw thats such a shame, I was there last year but watching the whippets - didnt notice any trouble  . Good Luck to all who enter tomorrow. Ill be cheering ya all on from the sidelines (if its not too hot) it was hot last year too - had to put suncream on Vinnies nose (w00t) and Ill try and remember my camera

Just got back after a hectic day at the show. A great turnout despite the football , thanks to all for your support. Big thanks to Mike Brown and Paul Cork for judging in the heat and for travelling from Wales and Norfolk to judge, top men genuine 100% dog men. Nice to meet plenty off here, will get results and pics up tomorrow

no terriers at GYS due to them refusing to allow docked dogs and true dog men boycotting it
