I'm well aware that some of the oldies used to judge tail length this way but it doesn't make it right. If the standard says that the tail should reach at least to the hock why not just check it's length the most natural way. Still haven't seen a decent whippet judge pull the tail under the belly yet.

You can not have it both way. Meaning every generation of dogs is (should be) a step better. Then why not breeders taking a step forward to new ideas as well?

I think these people have seen some decent judges. Judges who over years have respected them & their dogs. But when they come here to judge, they seem to lack interest in the dogs in front of them. Possible answer is " are our dogs a load of crap"?

I dont think so. But some are ordinary. Not talking about mine in this case. Would never do that.

Oh I think we might have seen a couple... "These people"(Aussies) keep bringing world reknowned judges over to judge their specialties - many of those from the UK ..... still wanna stick by your comment? .... :huh: :lol:

These people, us Ozzies, show under the most of respected judges from all over the World. But I still respect most of them, even when we are judged like ducks in a shooting gallery. It might do some good for some off shore breeders to view a dvd-video of some of their decent judges in action. This apart from being there in personis the only way they can not only see what won, what was missed & what cannon fodder was placed.

I think I will now show at times with a saftey reflective vest like the council workers wear. That way I might be in the safe lot of winners. ie, nice dogs, fit the standard full stop. Not the nice dog but shame about one thing wrong so you go to the other end of the line. In the middle.............................said enough, no comment on them.

Your turn Gajo........give em heaps.

Even if it has gone from the original topic to measuring tails!! Not sure what else anyone wants me to post. For obvious reasons the name of the show and judge cannot be relvealed. I do not want a lawsuit.

No lawsuit involved if your telling the truth

Name and shame if a judge is so bad surely a letter to the KC or a trip to Oz to judge there is in order :clown:

You pommies even used to send convicts here too hey- the criminals, the cons, the hungry, the poor, the children,....but dog judges- NEVER!! :sweating:
