Whippet Found

Roly the whippet lost in the Leeds area has been found today. He was taken to the vets by the police after being bumped bay a car. Not really hurt but very thin and looks like he has been living rough.

He is now having a good sleep on the settee after having a very welcome tea.

A BIG THANKs from all of us to all of you for your help and support.

There really are some great doggy people out there

Thanks for letting us know Jeff, I am so so pleased Roly is home at last.

Oh thank goodness he's been found and is now safe; poor Roly, he must be exhausted; and Molly must feel so relieved. I was up in Scotland for SKC this weekend (although wasn't showing on Hound day, I was there for Utility yesterday) and Tony and I were wondering and crossing our fingers for Roly to be found safe.

oooops, I've posted 3 times in my excitement! Can anyone delete the rogue ones?

The lovely thing about taking down the posters was the interest it got from passers by who were genuinely delighted to hear that Roly had been found. Notably two different sets of teenagers who went out of their way to ask about his story - one set of them went off literally whooping! they were the last people I expected to take an interest let alone be so obviously chuffed to hear that it was good news - it made me realise that people really do read these posters and care about the lost ones.

'Big up' for Doglost! and their downloadable posters and 'whoop whoop' Roly for making it back home!
 
Even though I love on the other side of the world (literally!) I was still absolutely delighted to hear about Roly's good fortune. Things can so easily go wrong in these situations so it's super to hear of a success story!

AWESOME NEWS!!!! :thumbsup:

His owners must be SO relieved! :sweating:
