URGENT PLEA FOR HELP

Can all you kind folk out there please keep an eye out for Janet Boyce's black and white whippet pup when you are on your travels.......

On her way home on Sunday, Janet's trailer door somehow came open and the pup fell out. Another driver alerted her to the fact the door was open at the Lisnagelvin area and she thinks it can only have come open somewhere between the Glenshane Pass and Lisnagelvin. Derry......however we can't be 100% sure of this. Janet has informed the dog wardens, police, local radio, rescue centres etc...... but any other ideas/ help are gratefully accepted. Please do anything you can to help find this little chap, who is only just 4 months old. He is black with white trim and was wearing a black collar.

Perhaps anyone who is going to the 32 Counties on Saturday could also spred the word, as unfortunately we won't be able to make it.

Any information about the missing pup please ring 07723477102

It was a good day and nice to see the pictures, but my memories are haunted by what happened afterwards as I was in the car with Janet Boyce when she discovered her pup was missing. The dog could have got out anywhere between the field at Dunsilly and Lisnagelvin, Waterside, Derry city. Janet travelled back the entire road and the one thing we can say is that she did not find the dog lying on the road and there is a chance he will be found. He is black with white markings and not unlike his sire Merlin.

As it was the final show/ race day for this year the Committe decided to thank everyone for their continued support throughout the year by providing a complimentary barbeque. The barbeque was lit early and with array of salads, burgers, sausages, juice and wine everyone was very well fed and watered! There was even a cake to help celebrate the very successful year. :D

Special thanks have to go to Paul Reynolds of 'Chef's Direct' Fish & Chip shop, Lurgan, for providing the meat for the barbeque.

Graham 'Mr Barbeque'
