Is there Whippet racing at Andover tomorrow (12th September 2010) ? I would like to take my Whippet along for her first time but have just seen that there is an "Open" on the 19th. Have I got the dates wrong ? I am new to this so bear with me !

There is a club racing meeting on at Andover on the 12th (tomorrow). Contact Sundance for more details. I think that it'll start at around 11.

Thank you for that.

Hi Whippetmum, are you Linda? If so we met today.

Glad your girl enjoyed herself and seemed to breeze through her two trials.

Thanks to everyone else, was a lovely relaxed meeting in mostly gorgeous sunshine. On days like today it makes me realise how much I miss racing and all the lovely people there :))

See you all next sunday for the open ;)

I really, really enjoyed todays meeting. It was a joy to be racing at Andover today. Even if some upstart puppy whooped my young dog in the racing. <sobs>

Linda are you by any chance the person with the Schnauzer?

Hope that 'Evan is racing again soon.

Oh and thank you Nev for showing myself and Dusty what a true black whippet looks like. Here's a message from Dusty :p :p :p :p

Yes - I am the lady with the Schnauzer, Kruger. Not much of an interesting day for him but my Whippet, Kristal loved it. I would just like to say thank you to everyone who helped me today. Everyone was very helpful and what a lovely, friendly lot you are ! Myself and Kristal had a really nice day - she loves to run but I wonder if she is built more for lure coursing than racing. Much as she put all her little heart into it and my husband got some great photos of her racing with the black Whippet, I just wonder if she is better suited to the twists and turns in lure coursing because of her heavier build. I will try and get to the Oxford racing in a few weeks and see what she is like there. Do I have to enter that one in advance and will she have to go in the traps now that she has trialled or can she just be slipped again ? Once again, many thanks for making it a most enjoyable day. It was a joy to see her run like she did and to meet such nice people. Lynda, Kristal and Kruger
