It is with a heavy heart that I report the passing of our beloved Bichon Frise Fritz,he was 8 years old.He had brought up on Sunday and hadn't ate since,he had peed in the house lately,thought it was just that he was holding it too long,it turned out to be a kidney problem and he also had Diabetes.he would have needed 24 hr care at home so Mom thought it best he be put down,He had lost 6 pounds since June.I had no idea he was this sick.he had been drinking water fine but the vet said he was dehydrated.fritz was only going to be there until tomorrow, the vet did blood work and x rays,he phoned this afternoon with the bad news.It has not been a good day,I feel terrible.As of now,no more dogs,Mom says she can't afford it,we have lost 2 in the last 8 years and if we ever sold the house and move to an apartment,they may not accept dogs,so we will see what happens.I have enjoyed talking about him and showing his pictures,have appreciated all the comments.Thank you so much.My sister's Husband called tonight,mom could tell by the way he talked he had tears,he is going to miss him too,they will probably have to go through what we did today at some point.

I'm so very sorry that you have had to say goodbye to your adorable little boy :(

I've have just been looking back through The Fritz Chronicles and you have some lovely memories and pictures of him there :huggles:

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've really enjoyed reading about Fritz in the 'Fritz Chronicles' thread, he was such a little character, I'm sure he's going to be very sadly missed :huggles:

Im so very sorry to read this very sad news about Fritz, I Know how very special he was to your family, Its the saddest part about owning a dog, so Im thinking of you all.....

Barry we are ALL lucky to have known Fritz via the internet , and i certainly will miss his tales and antics , sending YOU and the family huge hugs xxx

i know whatyou are going thru as i lost my little man 4 weeks ago with kidney failure
