Sue and Steve Evans have asked me to post a HUGE THANKYOU to everyone who has supported their raffles this year, from buying tickets to donating prizes

and I would like to thank Sue and Steve for their hard work this year, with setting up the raffle and transporting all the lovely prizes...enjoy a rest now Sue....until 2011  (w00t)

Yes they have done great with tbe raffles. Always plenty of prizes and you and she made a great double act Ju!!!!

I'm looking forward to hearing how the finances are. I'm sure our own equipment and own ground won't be too far off :D

:D Superb photo's Rob you always help us to see things that we miss, because i am always at the traps i cannot tell what happens after the 120 yd mark, i cannot believe how close it was between Deadly Serious and Memory Man glad i was'n't on the line nor did i see how far back Ralph ( NPWRch Run At Mill ) was he must be injured i hope he is ok and on the way to recovery :D

Just realised that we included the photos from the semis along with the Heats yesterday! For those who are interested the last ten pictures are from the semi finals.

We did also find one last photo which, on closer inspection strongly suggests that Brian tied a haggis to the lure for the 28lbs. final!!!

...See below ... :-

(Only joking Brian, - your boy did you proud! :)) )

Congratualtions to all the winners on Sunday. Ralph is feeling much better, he was a little stiff for a few days but is jumping back on the couch ok again! Our fault really, we should have hand slipped him a few times at the club before putting him back in the traps after a year out. Lesson learned. Thanks to all the well wishers.

Oh that's brilliant news. I'll send up a DVD so you can see he did get a couple of heavy knocks. His right hind was definitely hurting him when he pulled up, but I was pleased to see he didn't have any bruising later on at the presentation. I felt sure he had torn a gracilis from the way he was walking. I've always marvelled at how much he has raced, and I only once remember him having a possible injury, down in Cornwall I think. He is a fab boy, and has passed on his speed to his babies. I hope you will come racing next year and run him as a veteran. It would be good to see you both again too xx

Awh thanks June for your lovely comments! Would be good to see what happened on the DVD. Sounds like he's been a lucky lad.

It was Cornwall that he got a bit of a niggle in his ciatic nerve at the bottom of his back, (he had the same thing at Gloucester in 2006). But you're right, other than that he has always been fine and considering the amount of racing we have done with him it's not a bad do! He has given us such a fab time over the last few years and we have been so lucky to have him.

Hope to see you next year for some vet racing! xx
