Dog Transporter to collect puppy

Hi folks just joined looks a great site :thumbsup: My daughter and her hubby are looking for a male whippet pup the thing is most of them seem to be down south and she stays on the outskirts of Glasgow i was wondering if there was a dog transporter service to pick up and deliver,i know its not best way to do it but needs must if not maybe i could meet a breeder half way chancing my arm now any way thanks for listening atb Tim.
 
Welcome to K9

Many whippets are bred in Scotland as well as down south , and any good breeder would not . or should not , be happy just to meet a new owner half way . Proper home checks and lots of questions both ways should commence before any living animal is parted with IMO . Im sure one of our scottish members could help your daughter find a suitable puppy near home :thumbsup:

I think the question was, does anyone know a dog transporter

I have one don't know if he is still doing it, let me know how you get on, as i have a pup i will need bringing to Scotland, and will be using a Dog transporter

sorry, Andy is the guy who runs the transporter business, I to am in Scotland and this hopefully will be the way I bring my pup up, these vans are supposed to be adapted for dogs and are air conditioned.

If buying a pup from so far away, you will have built up a rapport with the breeder, you don't need home checks,

the type of breeding you want, may not be available in Scotland just go for it.
 
Im sorted litter of pups about 20miles from me :thumbsup: but good to no there is a service out there, will keep for future reference,thank you for all your help folks :thumbsup:

Is the pup going to be worked, if yes what's the breeding?

Ped Racer what she wanted Highland Warrior x Highland Gold on here,daresay it will be out with my lurchers, but Racer was they main reason she wanted.
 
10 out of 10 mate---You wont go wrong with that mating--my dogs raced em, good dogs.! :thumbsup:

Now isnt that better than having one sent up that youve never seen ;) You can even visit this one if its not ready to leave mum yet . Great choice of dog BTW :teehee:
