Hi this is my first post since we have had Watson who is five months old. He has ben tething for the last month and most new teeth now seem to be coming through. His two bottom puppy canines have gone but only one of his top ons has gone. His new tooth is coming through next to his milk tooth and making his gum swollen. Is this normal and OK or should I visit the vet. Your answers are welcome.

It will most likely work loose and fall out soon. Try a big beef bone to help work it loose, or a rope tug toy!!!!

Funnily enough my Butterfly is 5 months & her last top puppy canine is just about to fall, it is loose & the adult one is there. I tried to pull it yesterday but another day it will probably come out. As bertha said have some rough play & if it loose it might come.

Flint is 5 months old, and has just lost most of his baby teeth, his gums have been very swollen...and he has chewed everything

around him. Whole carrots are good for teething, lots of raw bones ...and as a last resort you can freeze a cloth and let them

chew on that too. Fortunately the phase soon passes.

Meant to add he was running with his litter brother the other day and he (Flash) also lost a tooth while they were playing hard....Flint had

the blood on his coat to prove it ... good hard play pulls them out too...

watson's last fang has finally gone, a large chew on a bone fixed it. No more needle teeth
