Weston-super-mare Canine Society Two Day Show

The show was held at the Showering Pavilion at Bath & West Showground. This year the venue was lovely and warm unlike last year and the whippets were a lot happier. They had a lovely big ring and showed themselves off well! This was a two day show so the two whippets will return tomorrow (30 Dec) for Best In Show.

I think Butterfly enjoyed her 1st show, it felt odd :sweating: showing a pup again(been 4.5 years since Baby Dove was a pup)!

I was surprised there wasn't a few more there, with 5 dog & 5 bitch classes, it was a good classification for an open show.

Yes it's a shame there weren't more entries. There are not many shows that have separate dog and bitch classes. Last year had 26 entries with 12 absences and this year 28 entries with 10 absences. We will lose classes if they are not supported! I did hear that WSM are trying to change the show to October and changing to a one day show instead of two. Perhaps that will help entries.
