Interesting observation.

My dog rarely gets to chase my bitch but he has no trouble keeping her at bay when she is chasing him. He is very maneuverable but she doesn't seem to be able to turn sharply through the turns.

This morning however Freddie got to chase Nockie and they each behaved exactly the opposite.

Nockie became uncharacteristically maneuverable and Freddie was running in long sweeping turns seemingly unable to catch her.

I wonder if this could be a thought process thing maybe?

Who ever is the lead dog calls the shots, and knows which way they're going to go before the chasing dog...I reckon Nockie has a faster mind than Freddie...after all he IS a man!!!

Blue was always the chased lead dog before Molly came along, now they take it in turns, neither being able to catch the other easily, as Blue twists and turns and leaves Molly behind, but Molly being more greyhound like can run fast in a straight line, but can't turn at all!!

That sounds about right.

Good thing Freddie is only on fbook and not on here, he would be cut up if he saw what you wrote!

They are great to watch 'ay.

I'm going to tell Freddie what Clair said :-

Muffin is always the one that chases Jonah except on very rare occasions. It always worries me that the chasing dog is going to crash into one of our garden trees when the one in front twists away from it just in time! (w00t)
