just thought i'd post some pic's of evie-d's latest trip to the vets.

We havent got a clue how she did it , she went out for a wee and came back in like this  that was almost 3 wks ago and she is making a fab recovery she had her staples removed 2 wks after the injury and its looking pretty good.

So overall for emergency callout, sedation, 40 staples and antibiotics it came to.............................. £176 ....not too bad !!!

What a mess :( Poor girl

Looks to be healing well.

I am surprised that they used staples on such a large wound :x

Gosh - what an awful looking injury. Poor Evie. :( It looks as though it is healing up very well. Your vet bill sounds amazingly reasonable for that amount of work, and out of hours as well.

Good luck for a speedy recovery. :luck: :luck:

Wow that is looking so different now... well done to your vet

so sorry it did look a really nasty wound, but glad shes making a good recovery. :luck:

Ive had success with staples & whippet wounds before with my other dog so i was fairly confident it would be ok this time, i also wanted to avaoid a general anaesthetic as well we decided on the quickest solution posible....luckily its worked out very well (w00t)

Ouch that does look a nasty wound! Poor Evie, it looks like it is healing up nicely though

They amaze me, get damaged like that I you never know how! One of mine ran down a grassy bank and came back with the inside of his thigh ripped. 24 stitches he had and blow me if it didn't happen again in the same place. We looked all over the bank and have know idea what gashed him twice. The second lot of stitches numbered 28! He didn't squeak, made no sign he'd been hurt both times. One stoical whippet.
