Yay - I am a proud Whuppet mummy today.

My little boy won 1st place at the Rufts 2011 (Waterloo, Liverpool) Dog show for Owner and Dog "who most look alike".

We were both wearing tartin coats and everyone was cooing over my little Hopkirk. We also met a lovely Whippet call Macy Grey (I believe she has a facebook page but I cant find her as the two got on great) and she was gorgeous too and deserved a prize as well.

After a hard day of looking good - he is chilling out under his comfy blanky x

Lovely smart looking, both of you :) Congratulation

Well done  Looks like you both had a GREAT day. Thanks for posting the photos. Lovely to see.

Well done both of you

Thank you very much.

To be honest we found this really fun and Hop's loved it..he was great and all the crowd was just loving him and cheering him on.

I was just wondering , how would you get into showing - just for fun as we had such a good giggle ?

He could not do real showing as he has a few little scars from running around the beach and sand dunes - are there any just fun shows around do you know?

many thanks

x

Well done to both of you – you look chuffed to bits !!

There are lots of fun shows around – I believe there are a few websites dedicated to companion shows. Also look out in the local papers and dog press too.

As for a few scars – these would not stop a dog from competing at the very highest level. Frankie had a massive scar all down his show side following a nasty SBT attack, resulting in a lot of staples, which inevitably scarred – he went on to win the RCC at Crufts the following year!
