what i want to no that if a person puts photos on k9 they are there for anybody to take a copy of them and if they dont want anyboby to take a copy they should not put them on and just put them in whippet news. that way no one can take copy,s and i also thought that if you have copyright you should have something in writing to prove you have copyright

when i comes to artistic copyright i.e. Photographs you do not need anything in writing to prove copyright but in the same way an artist signs a painting it is up to you to let people know that you own that copyright. When you sell a painting you need to sign an agreement with the person whom you sell it to if you wish to keep the copyright over that image otherwise you sell that copyright with the painting. In terms of photographs if the photo is stored on your computer and you can prove that you took that photo the copyright remains with you no matter how many times you distribute it over the internet. But it is still up to you to enforce that copyright i.e. sign your work.

Think it's only polite to ask the photographers permission before copying their pics Bet :thumbsup:
