there used to be a show there years ago did they stop it or something

yes ,ive heard there used to be some good shows there in the past

Tish I would like to help and sponsor something

Ill PM you details ;)

can u do just straight racing or do u have to enter 2 events?

Would be good to know purely so that we know what time we need to get to the show. Not so much with this show as its quite local but the shows that are further away we struggle to get to early with having 3 kids to get ready and stuff but we would normally be able to get to them for the hurdles if we know what time they going to be. A schedule would be handy if possible thanks for all of us who struggle to get to shows early

Really looking forward to this show, there just aren't enough of them in Cornwall :)

Im going to sponsor a Champion Trophy for the Hurdles (Lurchers and Terriers) on behalf of my business The Right Moments Photography.

These will be Propetual Trophies that will need to come back each year

In answer to the questions ............

The lurcher and terrier judges are Andy Banfield for lurchers and Kevin Donoghue for terriers.

We are working hard to produce a schedule of classes for the showing!!

The working lurcher events will be run on the same basis as other events which Kev and Debs Mumford run. In order to qualify to compete in the straight racing, they dog must compete in one of the other disciplines - hurdling, coursing or long jump.

If time permits, we will probably have an Open Straight Race where dogs who don't compete in one other event can try their luck but this will be confirmed on the day.

was just wondering what your reasoning behind doing an addtional event to qualify for the straight racing was

The idea of the lurcher field events is to test the lurchers' stamina and ability to perform a number of different tasks and not just proving their ability to run fast. It's all based around the idea of simulating what they might find when out working .... and working is what lurchers are bred to do best (as well as lying on the sofa!)
