I am looking for a new collar and lead for my little whippet as she has lost so much weight her other one no longer fits and it quite hevey o her little neck :( so any ideas where i could get one quite quick ?

Sorry that your whippet is so poorly. :(

If you look at the Market Place on here, both Bleakhound Designs and Collars R Us do beautiful material collars and leads, and I'm sure would send you one out quickly.

Ebay has a lot of collars - leather and material. You may have to look for one to fit an Italian Greyhound.

Good luck and I hope she starts to make a recovery soon. :luck: :luck:

Very sorry to hear that your whippet is not well and do hope that she soon begins to put some weight back on.

Have you thought of walking her in a light harness which may be a bit more comfortable for her at the moment than a collar?

I'm sure any good pet shop would help with fitting and finding the right size for her. Good luck. :luck:

So sorry that she isn't well :(

If you want to try a harness go to Perfect Fit Perfect Fit website

The harnesses are bought in three pieces so fit exactly. If you contact the lady who runs it she will help you measure up and she does send them very quickly. She caters for all kinds of dogs and is an expert in getting the right pieces for the right dog. I tried a couple of pet shop ones and they were no good - just can't get the right size for a whippet which is dangerous as they can wriggle out. You need a smaller front chest piece and deeper under the chest. Think I bought the medium lurhcer sized as my whippets are very tall. The pieces are backed with fleece so won't rub if she's a bit skinny at the moment. I also put an extra strip of fleece on the piece that goes under the chest so it didn't rub his front legs.

yes i did think a harness would be better as the preasue on her throat makes her cough so i have just ordered her one :D

Thanks for all the advice.
