got to say the travelers didnt realy bother us i was not happy with the speed they were driving past the whippet racers vans and when one of the fellas came past and said hi to a group of us we asked him to a tell his group to drvie slowly near the racers vans and they did. there was a little slow driving going past us in the evening but we found out as we poped in asdas on our way home that one of the traveiler was after buying our caravan for his wife thats why they had been passing looking at it. Nice to see traviler intouch with there femmanin side lol. Tony didnt expact that in asds loos lol. Anyway I know they worry a lot of you and hope the council can sort somthing out but the scotish darby has to be the best event of the year and i know if we can do anything to help keep it going we will

been on loads of times with travelers and they have allways been spot on in the past even camped at one of there sites and were great these were not decent people that turned up sunday or maybe just a few bad ones amongst them but a van full of men were shouting at the irish folk who had kids with them and dee and myself and this was at midnight i never felt intimidated before but that was a first on sunday they were scouting all night think they were expecting more trouble after the days bother but that had nothing to do with us lot hope arthur dosnt jack in and the club and derby continue to thrive im not letting one night spoil a great holiday for us long may it continue  i guess its the same for travelers as it is for us that now and then a few bad apples give the whole barrel a bad name .

I stayed a week and left on Sat morn to take my dogs to a ped. champ in Lancs. I had a good time due to the pleasant weather (Thursday being the only wet day), friendly people and the beauty of Ravenscraig park and the Fife coastal path. Arthur and Jeanine and co. were very helpful giving my dogs a couple of trials each on Tues and Wed. Thanks to Fleece and fam, Albert and Flo and my neighbours (don't know the names but they celebrated 40th wedding anniversary at the Derby) for a few cuppas and chat. My veteran weighed in at 30lbs and since the 2 dogs he raced with in the veteran final weighed 27lbs and were officially a year older (though Tintreach will be 7 next month he's still handicapped as a 6 year old), he did well to overcome his handicap and win second place by only a nose. He's very fit after all that walking during our Scottish Derby holiday, but would probably win more if he loses another 1 lb weight!

I missed all the furore with the disruptive travellers; hope it doesn't discourage the organisers too much.
