Flint came back from our walk yesterday with the tip of his ear bleeding hard... I put vaseline on to start with and a light dressing

but when we went out this morning as soon as he shook his head, the ear tip started bleeding again.

Any tips please as to what to put on...and how to stop them bleeding...Thanks

Bathing regularly with heavily salted water should clean it up. Salt stops the bleeding but can sting

It will eventually dry up and heal. Vaseline will prevent the air getting to it and it will probably heal quicker left open.

Poor Flint

Cant really offer any help but ears & tails are the worst to stop bleeding...try some flour/bicarb to help plug the cut

my India had her ear `nicked whilst playing with brother Harvee when they were pups , I bet it took several weeks for it to heal 100% and today she still has a `nick` out of her ear

Recently Taran sustained a little ear nick and I put a human sticky plaster on it ... the square sort, folded in half so that it encased the tip of his ear and was stuck to itself at the sides. I only tried it as a last resort but it worked brilliantly :D I took it off after a couple of days and we've had no problems since ... it just gave the nick enough time to clot up properly.

Hope Flints ear is better now :huggles:
