Today we all met up for a very special event - The Thomas Bentham memorial trophy meeting' in memory of a very special and well liked young man who adored his whippets.

The weather was absolutely perishing, but bright and sunny. We kicked the day off with a first round of racing followed by a scrumptious 'Starkey sausage sizzle' to celebrate Rob's birthday today - Happy birthday you grumpy old fart!' ;)

Well done to all dogs participating, especially to Lola (Femme Fatale) for winning the lightweights, Forest (Master of Light) for taking the heavy weight title, and Femme Fatale for winning the supreme.

Could someone with the full results possibly put them on pretty please ;)

A few pictures to follow :D

Well done all of you. Sounds like you had a fab day remembering a lovely young lad, and celebrating the birthday of an old boy! (sorry Rob couldn't resist!) That little Maid at Mill is scrumptious - if she goes missing next year, you'll know where to come and look!

a good days racing in memory of a nice young lad who left his family, friends, and beloved whippets far far far to early. well done to all the runners and winneres lola, and forest, and well done to norman and christines little mazie on her first final, one to watch for next season folks. the other big question now after the barbi is whos are the best sausage normans bangers, or the starky sizzler, ;) (w00t)
