my 23 inch whippet x is a great little gaurd dog very protective, he hears everythink, my saluki x lets you in a makes you a cuppa lol so hows yours?
 
We have 13, all house dogs. They are all very protective of their property and make wonderful

guard dogs. The one in the pic below is a 'knacker nipper' . Never had a problem with burgulars,

mind you, we don't get many visitors either.!!!!!!!!! (w00t)
 
My lot, four whippets and a greyhound certainly let us know when someone is around. Best deterrent for thieves is a dog barking, that's what the old bill told me when I lived in Deptford, SE london!!!!!!!! Good advice.

Haha, we don't get many visitors either.. 4 adult lurchers, 2 adult terriers and 5 lurcher puppies!

The terriers are our guard dogs, although the lurcher's might pin an intruder to the floor if only to lick them to death!
