i think peterborough was over 300yds roger , if it wasnt cold'nt have been much shorter , but yes your right , most are too short

i think peterborough was over 300yds roger , if it wasnt cold'nt have been much shorter , but yes your right , most are too shorthow many races have you seen 300yds or more the distance at shows are just right for longdogs most are under 200ydsEven if you raced a longdog with a lurcher, the longdog wont always win. it depends on the set up or the course, how long the race is etc. Longdog are bulit for quick speeds, and lurchers should be quick and have the stamina to keep going, so you could get a longdog who could run quickyl at short distance, but would be taken over by the lurcher who could run quickly for longer.
