niceonefrankie goes at chelt 4 pm is worth an each way bet at 12/1 after his last run and is well in the weights well any body got fancies for today come on ray tom

I was sorely tempted by Niceonefrankie - not influenced in anyway by my whippet Frankie of course :-

However - I have gone against him with Salut Flo.

Riverside Theatre for the Ryanair and Midnight Appeal in the lucky last :luck:

And although Big Bucks can't lose - I've had a sneaky ew on Smad Place at 33-1

Thanks both - been a great day - I also backed Sir Des Champs at 6-1 last night - my best ever Cheltenham! 2 winners on Tuesday but nothing yesterday was fearing the worst :)

Cant wait to see Kauto Star.. horribly fear he might be vulnerable, but he's got my bet and all my wishes he just gets home safe.

What a shambles yesterday inthe Ryanair..[i think ] when Wishful Thinking and Richard johnson crashed under the fence and the ghround staff so obviously couldnt decide what to do, gave totally confusing directions to the jockeys which cost the second horse the race....[in my humble opinion !! ]

In my opinion too :)

Ok - what have we started here ...... my choices for each race are:

1-30 Grumeti

2-05 Raya Star

2-40 Sea Of Thunder

3-20 Kauto Star

4-00 On The Fringe

4-40 Dan Breen

5-15 Bellvano

Sea of Thunder on paper shouldn't be able to beat Boston Bob. Luckily they don't run on paper, they run on grass, and Boston Bob has yet to tackle 3 miles (although bred to do so) while I regard Sea of Thunder's fall when well clear at Ascot as a 3 mile win :)

The Triumph is as wide open as ever, but I was mightily impressed with Grumeti's win over Baby Mix LTO and he's my choice for this lottery.

It's no secret that David Pipe would love to win what he terms as "dad's race" - the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys race at 4-40. He had 20 horses entered at the 4 day stage - down to just the four now! Of these the market suggests that Street Entertainer is the stables choice, but I think stablemate Dan Breen, who ran a stormer LTO is very handily weighted and at 18-1 a good ew bet.

As for the Gold Cup ...... like everyone who isn't connected to Long Run, I want Kauto Star to win this. I seriously don't think he will, but have purposely left it alone as a betting medium, on the basis of not wanting to tempt fate!

Good luck everyone - hope you win some, and that all participants come home safely

I wish they had retired Kauto Star. He has nothing to prove and like poor old Gard Champetre, it could have a tragic outcome. Think the spirit is too willing for his own good.

As this is so definitely Nicky Henderson's Festival, Burton Port is probably worth an each way bet in the 3.20. Certainly likely to be better odds than Long Run ;)

Ubi Ace is a favourite of mine, but I think he will be outclassed here. In theory Grumeti should beat Baby Mix again, but BM could have more improvement in him than Grumeti - a wide open race - good luck!

Cant decide if I'm sad or happy!!. So sad Kauto didnt make it but SOOO thankful he had a HORSEMAN on his back, sensitive enough to realise his horse was in trouble and pulled him up before he was really hurt. Dont know whether you caught the "Morning Line" yhis a.m, but Dan Skelton.. paul nicholls' assistant trainer.. mentioned that kauto took a whole year to come back after a fall in his first season, thought that was VERY telling. considering his training fall. get a feeling he might have his wrist slapped when he got back to Ditcheat!!

Know noone will believe me.. but I had Synchronised for my pick.. My bets are all "virtual" bets... I'm too mean to lose money!!

Long Run was by no means the horse he was last Season, have a feeling thats maybe as good ashe's going to be, eally felt for poor little Sam having a nasty fall in the Foxhunters as well.. not a good day at the Office for him.

oh well i enjoyed the event even thow i didnt win try again next year bye

I was relieved to see KS pulled up, too but I think it very strange that so many of Ruby Walsh's rides have been pulled up - think I heard on the loudspeaker yesterday that he was involved in three stewards' enguiries :-

Whippet1 did well to pick Brindisi Breeze!

I had a small each way on Synchronised. (w00t) Not bad for a non horsey person (w00t)

Congratulations :) Was it because of his connections or something completely random?
