We are all very much looking forward to the racing holiday in Fordingbridge for this years forthcoming English Derby. As you will all know there are 2 mid-week Opens, offering different formats giving everyone a chance to win something at sometime over the holiday; with the grand finale in the BWRA IBM/Grasscutter, last Saturday of the holiday.

Camping available from 11am, Thursday 7th June for 10 nights on the picturesque trackside, which has is a very popular clubhouse only steps away, with showers and toilets. Doreen has kindly sought nearby undercover caravan storage for a minimal fee for those who would like to leave their caravans for the 17 days between our Derby holiday & the Fordingbridge racing event.

Please get in touch with Doreen as soon as possible, as to not disappoint anyone.

Fordingbridge is very picturesque, the track situated alongside a meandering river next to a quaint village all within a comfortable walking distance. There are also various campsites nearby for those who wish to have electric hook-up. Special thanks again to Fordingbridge Wrc for hosting this event and for their preparation before, & during our stay for which we are all very grateful.

Most ‘pitches’ have been filled as I write, but if you are interested at the 11th hour...always enquire, as sometimes racers have to cancel last minute, but there are a few tent spaces still available.

Please note that camping is available only through Doreen on 02392 486578.

All camping/entry!! money (after money to council) will be paid out in full!!

Can the following 2011 winners, please return the winning trophies on the day, or pass them on to someone who will be travelling to the Derby. Main Sup Skoshi Tiger. Bitch Pup & Sup trophy GM Red Fox (Chris Horsnall still has the Bitch Puppy Trophy I am informed by Lyndon), Dog Puppy Matey’s Touch, Bitch Yearling & Sup Gemheera, Dog Yearling Lucky Darling, Bitch Veteran & Sup Mo Chara, Dog Veteran Showman, 40lb What’s your Rush, N Limit & Sup Hunckie, N Limit Yearling King Louis, N Limit Veteran Bagheera, Outstanding Whippet Charlie Pig. Thanks very much Lyndon, as I mentioned Chris Horsnall still has that trophy.

Sorry the fancy dress disco on Friday 15th is now cancelled due to the England match drawing a wider audience

(come in fancy dress to the Football, it may be more fun than watching England play) only joking xxxxxx

On the plus side we will either be able to drown our sorrows in the bar, or celibrate a win.

Caravans starting to arrive at Fordingbridge, very wet morning hopefully the wind that is forecast will dry things up a bit

Rain now stopped, wind getting up so nicely drying out the track surface. 20 caravans at this moment in time and 6 tents.

More updates tomorrow, or maybe later this evening. It's great having access to the internet down at Fordingbridge Club

regards

Doreen

See you all tomorrow morning, ask the wind to drop and the rain to stop just long enough for me to pitch my tent please.
