My boy Barney is big. Much taller than the "average" whippet. I was wondering if a raised food bowl might be good for him.

Does anyone use them?

If so, any recommendations?

Thanks

All my whip/ grey crosses have them, and i've even taken the food stands camping with me! My first one was bought at a country show and the others my local feed store ordered for me. Would definately recommend using them.

I use a large plant pot filled with concrete with the saucer on the top as a lid, worked for my old greyhound and the whippets use it now, cheap and cheerful

Thanks all

Sounds like a plan

Assume not too high is best

P@H have one type in - i'lltake a look

I use them and I think they are much better for the dogs digestion and mine dont eat their food so quickly (it actually hits the sides on the way down) LOL

I feed my greyhound in a raised bowl. Stops her swallowing air!!!!!!.

Thanks all.

My boys have been using their joined raised food dishes for a few days. They are strangely cautious - they don't attack their food ravenously - yet!!! Suppose that's good in itself.

We will see how we go :)

i use them i have the ones you can change hight

also use a large jam bucket filled with dirt jay dont like the stands

also used them for years, homemade from wotever can do the job, ie first step of the stairs lol
